- Relationship to Others

- Reasons

- Who I was

First Memory
Kindergarten Daisy’s Meeting – My mom was the Girl Scouts Daisy Troop Leader. We played Alligator, Alligator, had a snack. I’m friends still with many of the girls I was in that troop with. It is one of our most memorable first memories.

Good Times
Shopping on Saturdays. Hanging out on Mondays after school. Being silly during drill team shows and competitions. My first year in college.
- we were alone and felt like friends

Relationship to others
Most of my friends refer to her “like another mom”

Fall outs
She called me a liar when I was 9 years old, I vowed to not need her then.
My desire to show her that I was independent at a young age.
The relationship that developed with my best friend after she moved in with us at 16.

Who I was
At the peak 17. Still young. I truly believed that I knew everything and my mother understood nothing.

I feel like the one about your best friend has a lot of options. I'd love to see where it goes. It sounds to me like you want to write about how life changes when something unexpected happens.

I felt like I was looking through a picture album - you kept pulling up snapshots of feelings and relationships many readers will be able to connect to. Good writing. You might want to do some more in-depth writing for one ore two of these topics - just to see where it takes you. Consider what you will reveal and what you will not mention - then think about why you are making that distinction - and write some more.

You have good material here. Good start.

I think you have alot of information here. I agree with Nick that you could write an essay about you freind or freinds. But, you also have childhood memories and other events that you mentioned so you could possibly write about growing as a person.

What a clear and detailed memory! Your writing made me remember things in my distant past.
